Aslam completed his degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology (UET) and served the Pakistan Army for the next 25 years of his career. After retiring from his services, Aslam gained experience in the private sector with a number of companies before joining FDP as Advisor Technical Services and handling the after-sales services department.

Over the 25 years of his service in the Army, Aabis has performed a vast number of duties as an engineering expert with different appointments at different stations.
